I believe every birthing person deserves to know they have a choice
My mission as a doula started when I gave birth to my son at home. This was my second pregnancy — my first was an induction where I went with whatever I was told, because I wasn't aware I had a choice. Having a home birth and realizing I had a choice is what pushed me to become a doula.
I want to provide support and care for birthing persons. I understand how it feels to be unsupported and uncared for, and how that makes it harder to advocate for yourself. I want to give pregnant people and their partners the tools to advocate for themselves throughout their pregnancy, birth, and postpartum period.
