My story
From unsupported mother to empowering doula
My journey into birth work began with my own births and the profound difference between feeling powerless and feeling supported.
Why I became a doula
My mission as a doula started when I gave birth to my son at home. My home birth was my second pregnancy whereas my first pregnancy was an induction where I went with whatever was told to me because I wasn't aware I had a choice.
Having a home birth and realizing I had a choice is what pushed me to become a doula. I want to be able to provide support and care for birthing persons. I understand how it feels to be unsupported and uncared for, and thus, you are less likely to advocate for yourself.
I want to provide pregnant people and their partners with the tools to advocate for themselves throughout their pregnancy, birth, and postpartum period.
My approach
Birth work rooted in choice, knowledge, and presence
You always have a choice
My first birth taught me what it feels like to not know your options. I make sure every client I work with understands their rights, their choices, and their power at every stage.
Advocacy starts with education
When you understand what's happening in your body and what your options are, you can speak up with confidence. I provide evidence-based information so you can make informed decisions.
Presence is the most powerful tool
Studies show that continuous support during labor improves outcomes. I stay with you, not just in spirit, but physically present from early labor through the first hours after birth.
Every birth story matters
Whether you're planning a home birth, a hospital birth, a medicated birth, or a cesarean, your birth is yours. I support your vision without judgment, and I honor every path.
